SALUTE TO VETERANS!
Join the town of New Oxford for a salute to veterans from all wars starting with the Occupation at 8:30 am, Battle at 9:00am, Liberation at 10:00am and Salute to Veterans program starting at 10:45 with all-era Military Vehicles, living history displays, and food to 1:00pm.
Honoring WW2 Veterans
While the battle re-enactment in the town may be the noisiest part of the Liberation, the most important part is the conclusion of the morning's activities: honoring the WW2 veterans present.
Once the town is secure and the church bell is ringing, local officials hold a ceremony honoring the WW2 veterans from the area.
